Hasselback Sweet Potatoes Air Fryer is an impressive side dish recipe that is easy to make. Hasselback Sweet Potatoes are fun to make and taste amazing.
Slice each sweet potato crosswise at 1/8-inch intervals, stopping about 1/4 inch from the bottom to keep the potato intact.
In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, maple syrup, cinnamon, salt, and black pepper.
Place the sweet potatoes in the air fryer basket, cut-side up. Brush the butter mixture generously over the top and between the slices of each potato.
Air fry the sweet potatoes for 25-30 minutes, or until tender and crisp around the edges. Brush the potatoes with the remaining butter mixture halfway through cooking.
Remove the sweet potatoes from the air fryer and transfer them to a serving platter. Sprinkle chopped pecans over the top, if desired.
Notes
To make slicing easier, just pop the potato between two chopsticks or wooden spoons. This way, your knife won’t go all the way through, giving you perfect slices every time.
