I’m a huge fan of tuna salad and try to always keep it in the fridge. This makes for a quick meal or snack and it is super filling and inexpensive to make. The tuna is packed with protein and so budget friendly.

You will love how easy it is and it tastes much better than anything you can buy in the stores. It has the perfect combination of tuna and mayo. It isn’t too thick or too runny. Other sandwich recipes that we love to serve is Grilled Cheese Sandwich or Bacon Sandwich.

It really is a great recipe and so simple and easy. We all love this delicious tuna salad. I love to top mine with sliced tomatoes and more red onion.  It is so easy to make.

These are also great for baby showers and you can use the mini croissants for something bite size. The options are endless with this delicious recipe. We also love tuna salad open faced sandwiches. This makes amazing tuna melts. Add cheese and toast in the oven for a hot and delicious sandwich idea.

Ingredients

Ingredients - Tuna, celery, pickle spear, onion, mayonnaise, dijon mustard, lemon juice, salt, pepper, wheat bread
  • White Flaked Tuna– Use tuna of your choice
  • Celery – Chop into small pieces
  • Dill Pickle Spear – Finely chop pickle or use sweet pickle relish
  • Mayonnaise – See The Best Mayonnaise Substitutes if you are out. You can also substitute greek yogurt and sour cream for the mayo
  • Dijon Mustard – You can also use Yellow Mustard
  • Lemon Juice – We prefer to use Fresh Lemon Juice

  • Step 1 – Drain the tuna well.

  • Prepare Vegetables – This recipe calls for diced celery.  Another time saving tip is to use a small food chopper or food processor to quickly and easily chop the celery.
  • Drain Tuna – We recommend to completely drain the tuna before mixing with the other ingredients. We like to press the lid into the tuna while in the can to ensure that all the liquid is removed from the canned tuna.
