Recipe Tips
- Cast Iron Skillet – I love making this recipe in a cast iron skillet so that the pan can go from the stovetop to the oven. If you do not have a cast iron skillet, this can be made in a large skillet and just skip the broiling of the top of the casserole.
- No need to Cover – After the green bean casserole is done cooking, you do not need to cover.
- Serve Immediately – We recommend serving this green bean casserole as soon as it is done.

This was delicious and exactly what I was looking for. I didnโt have enough fried onions but it was enough to sprinkle on top. I did however use 3 cans of green beans and the sauce to green beans was perfect. Everyone thought it was Thanksgiving! I did not use the broiler but only because I didnโt want to turn on the oven.
