I grew up eating Shake N Bake Pork Chops but I wanted to make it homemade for my family instead of using the box stuff. My family loved these delicious pork chops and now I make them all the time for an easy main dish recipe.

  • Bone-In Pork Chops – You can also use boneless pork chops

How to Make Shake and Bake Pork Chops

  • Step 1 – Preheat the oven to 425°Fahrenheit. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 2 – In a large resealable plastic bag, combine the breadcrumbs, salt, sugar, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, dried parsley and dried oregano. Shake the bag to mix the ingredients well.

Step 3 – Pat the pork chops dry and drizzle the olive oil over the pork chops, coating them evenly.

Step 4 – Place the pork chops in the bag with the breadcrumb mixture. Seal the bag and shake it until the pork chop is well coated. Remove the pork chop from the bag and shake off any excess breadcrumb mixture.

Step 5 – Place the coated pork chop on the prepared baking sheet. 

  • Step 6 – Bake the pork chops in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes. Flip the pork chops over and cook for an additional 8-10 minutes until the pork chops reach an internal temperature of 145°F at the thickest part.
  • Step 7 – Remove the pork chops from the oven and let them rest for 3-5 minutes before serving.
  • Step 8 – Then the pork chops are ready to serve and enjoy!  

Expert Tips

  • Covering the Pork Chops – Make sure to leave air in the freezer bag when sealing the bag so that the pork and seasoning mixture in the bag can move around easier. 
  • Cooking Time – Once you flip the pork chops, watch them closely until they reach an internal temperature of 145 degrees Fahrenheit so that they don’t get over cooked.  We recommend using a meat thermometer to check.
  • Rest Pork Chops – Rest pork chops after cooking which helps to lock in the flavor and juices.

Refrigerate the leftovers in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
