Roasted Buffalo Cauliflower Recipe:

These Roasted Buffalo Cauliflower are crispy on the outside and soft and tender on the inside. We all love buffalo sauce and have tried it on many food items. Combining it with cauliflower has become one of our favorites.

My family loves buffalo chicken wings and we do make them often. But I really wanted a low carb, low calorie snack that I could enjoy with the kids. They loved it so much they finished my buffalo cauliflower before they finished their wings.

Whether you serve it as an appetizer, snack or a side dish it is sure please everyone.

Are you a fan of Buffalo Sauce?

My family loves buffalo sauce. We have tried it on everything. From Chicken sandwiches to quesadillas. It has become a must have for dipping and topping our favorite foods.

We even have a Crock Pot Buffalo Chicken Pasta that is on a weekly rotation. It is so creamy and the combination of the chicken, buffalo sauce and pasta comes together perfectly.

Can I use Frozen Cauliflower Florets:

We do not recommend using frozen cauliflower florets for this recipe. Fresh cauliflower always works better and the roasted cauliflower comes out perfectly.

Using frozen cauliflower florets could cause you to have soggy and mushy cauliflower once it’s thawed and cooked.

Store bought or Homemade Buffalo Sauce?

You can definitely use store bought buffalo sauce. There are some great ones out there, but I love making my own Homemade Buffalo Sauce.

With only a few ingredients you can make your own buffalo sauce. You know exactly what you are adding to the sauce and I think it taste even better. The main ingredient in homemade buffalo sauce is Hot Sauce and Butter which these are staple ingredients in my house.

Hot sauce and buffalo sauce is not the same thing. Buffalo sauce is made up of hot sauce and butter. We like to keep this buffalo sauce made up and keep in the refrigerator to add to our favorite recipes.

  • Then stir the cauliflower into the buffalo sauce until it’s fully coated.
  • Place the cauliflower on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 18-20 minutes until the cauliflower is the tenderness that you desire. Cooking time will vary. It could take up to 30 minutes for the cauliflower to be done.
  • These are best served fresh out of the oven.
  • Serve with ranch or bleu cheese dressing and enjoy!

Try them in your Air Fryer!

Do you have an Air Fryer? We love using our air fryer for so many different things. It is perfect for reheating leftovers to cooking a salmon in. You can also air fry this buffalo cauliflower.

Put them in your air fryer preheated to 375 degrees for about 12-15 minutes. I would check them half way through the cooking process. I like to give the air fryer basket a little shake to make sure all sides are getting cooked.

Either way you cook the cauliflower they come out so tasty for an easy snack or appetizer.

Tips for the best Buffalo Cauliflower:

  • If you want your cauliflower a little crispier, broil it for 2-3 minutes after the cook time until the cauliflower is the crispiness that you prefer.
  • You can also bake your cauliflower first and then toss them in the buffalo sauce. Before baking I would drizzle olive oil on top.
  • Make sure to not over bake as the cauliflower will get mushy. I like to check the cauliflower periodically with a fork to ensure that I take them out of the oven at just right time.
  • You can sprinkle a little garlic powder to enhance the buffalo flavor.
  • We make sure that we cut the cauliflower about the same sizes so that it cooks evenly.
  • Try and make flat edges with the cauliflower. Instead of just pulling the cauliflower off the stem, we like to cut the florets in half so that they lay flat on the baking sheet. Laying the flat edge down on the sheet allows them to get nice and crispy.
  • Make sure to spread the cauliflower out on the baking sheet so that they roast properly.

How to serve Buffalo Cauliflower?

This Buffalo Cauliflower is the perfect appetizer to serve on game day or as a snack. We love to dip these buffalo bites in different types of dips. These are our favorites:

  • Ranch dressing – Ranch is a staple dipping sauce in my family.
  • Blue cheese dressing – You can never go wrong with Blue Cheese Dressing. It pairs perfectly with buffalo sauce.
  • French Onion Dip – We love French Onion Dip. It is always served with this recipe.

On Friday night when my family is hanging around the house, I like to do a snack dinner with all of our favorite snacks. I always makes these Buffalo Cauliflower bites, served with a side of carrots and celery.

Whenever you make them, I am sure that they will be loved by all. This is a great recipe.

How to store Buffalo Cauliflower:

We normally do not have a lot of leftovers. This recipe is so easy to make that I usually just make sure it is all eaten.

But you definitely can refrigerate the leftovers in an air tight container for up to 4-5 days. When reheat, I recommend broiling for 2-3 minutes to warm them through and make them crispy again.
