Peeps chocolate covered pretzels rods:
I kept my chocolate covered pretzel rods pretty low key and simple. If the kids are helping you to make this quick Easter dessert, cover your table with a plastic tablecloth and grab your sprinkles! Simply sprinkle them on after you add the first layer of almond bark or melted white chocolate. The flat disc sprinkles are super cute on these Peeps Chocolate covered pretzel rods. You can make a cute arrangement out of your creations! Mix it up and make some with or without Peeps and some with multiple Peeps!
Ingredients you need:
- Pretzel Rods
- almond bark (or you can use white chocolate)
- Food coloring (I used pink and purple) You can also use colored candy melts.
- 4 Colors of peeps
How to make chocolate covered pretzel rod for Easter:
- Melt 4-5 almond bark bars in a tall glass. Melt chocolate in the microwave in 30 second increments, stirring in between.
- Dip and or spoon pretzels rod to cover them with the almond bark. Line a baking sheet with parchment or wax paper. Place in the refrigerator for 5 minutes to allow it to harden.
- Shake to allow excess to drip back into tray.
- Melt 2 more bars in a bowl and 2 bars in another bar. Add a different color in each bowl.
- Mix in the food coloring until it is blended together.
- Drizzle the colored almond bard over the pretzel rods.
- Take a little bit of the almond bark and put a dab on the back of one of the PEEPS.
- Place the peeps on the pretzel rod. This will “glue” it to the pretzel. Continue until every chocolate covered pretzel has an adorable peep “glued” on.
- Allow it to cool completely.
- Enjoy!
