Why We Love This Recipe

I love recipes that are easy and frugal like this one. Plus, it is healthy and delicious. I never liked frying so this is nice because it is oven baked. You still get that amazing crispy outside.

In less than 25 minutes you can have an amazing side dish in minutes. They have the best flavor with olive oil and seasonings. We have even used coconut oil or avocado oil and added salt pepper and more.

You can also use the air fryer to make these if you have one of those. Roasted sweet potatoes are so yummy and these fries are crispy and delicious. We love to serve with ketchup, Freddy’s Fry Sauce Recipe and this Homemade Ranch Dip.

Expert Tips

  • Cutting Sweet Potatoes – We recommend to slice the sweet potato in about the same size so they cook evenly.
  • Coat Fries – Make sure to coat the sweet potatoes with the cornstarch mixture for the best texture.
  • Oven – Make sure to bake the sweet potatoes in a hot oven for the best results.

How to Tell When the Fries Are Done

Sweet potatoes cook best under high heat. After baking them for about 15 minutes, make sure the potato is fork tender before removing them. They may have a browner edges on them but that is a great way to tell that they are done.

The sweet potato fries will have crispiness that will make them delicious and even better served with your favorite dipping sauce.

Great Question! We test the recipe and determine how many people it would feed. Then we determine the nutrition for the entire recipe and divide it by that number. For this recipe, it’s 6, so a serving size would be 1/6 of the entire number. Thank you and I hope you enjoy this recipe. We love sweet potatoes! ๐Ÿ™‚
