- Ground Beef
- Sweet Medium Onion
- Salt
- Yukon Gold Potatoes or Red Potatoes
- Carrots
- Tomato Sauce
- Tomato Paste
- Diced Tomatoes
- Low-Sodium Beef Broth
- Minced Garlic
- Parsley Flakes
- Italian Seasoning
- Frozen Peas

Variations Ideas:
- Beef – Using ground beef in your beef stew recipe, makes this recipe easy and budget friendly. But feel free to change the meat to beef stew meat or chuck roast.
- Veggies – Feel free to change the veggies to what you prefer. We have added in celery, russet potatoes or cloves garlic.
- Broth – If you do not have beef broth, you can make this recipe with chicken broth. You can also use red wine for added flavor.
Step by Step Instructions:
- Step 1 – Brown ground beef In the instant pot on the saute setting.
- Step 2 – Add the remaining ingredients and stir together.
- Step 3 – Cover and set the valve to sealing.
- Step 4 – Set the pressure to 5 minutes.
- Step 5 – Do a quick release to remove the pressure.
- Step 6 – Stir to combine and serve. Season with salt and pepper for added flavor.

- Chopped Vegetables – Chop the vegetables to about the same size so that they cook evenly and about the same time.
- Cooking Methods – We love to pressure cook the beef stew but you can also cook on the stove top in a Dutch Oven or in the slow cooker.
- Thickening the Sauce – If you need to thicken the sauce, make a cornstarch slurry with cornstarch and water. Combine 2 tablespoons of each and then add into the stew.

Ingredients

- 1 8 oz can tomato sauce
- 1 6 oz can tomato paste
- 1 can diced tomatoes
- 3 cups low-sodium beef broth
- 2 teaspoon minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon parsley flakes
- 2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon salt if needed
- 1 cups frozen green peas
Instructions

This was the first thing I cooked using my InstaPot. It turned out fabulous! I used tomatoe juice instead of the paste, sauce and canned tomatoes and I added a bit of beef flavouring powder with water. Will be making this tasty meal again!! ?

Absolutely delicious!!! Served with cornbread and I doubled all seasonings and used cilantro and garlic salt… wouldโve liked more juice … overall I love this recipe … my husband went back for seconds. YUMMMM
