More Homemade Seasoning to Try:
This is so much cheaper than buying the mix packets. I’m glad I found it. I had a similar recipe, but lost it, and was paying so much more to have someone else mix it up for me — i.e. the company that makes the packets.
One comment: in the intro to the recipe, it says:
” In the Onion Soup Mix that you is store bought, there is about 3 tablespoons. When preparing this recipe, it makes 1 envelope of dry onion soup mix. ”
As posted here, the recipe actually makes 6 tablespoons, or the equivalent of TWO packets of mix.
I find this isn’t as salty as the regular mix. I would try it first and see if you like it.
I find that packaged onion soup mix is extremely salty. Your recipe calls for beef bouillon granules and I have some, but they are not low sodium. In your opinion, do I need to try and find low sodium granules to avoid the same problem?
