It is officially fall and I’m on the look out for fun snack ideas for kids. My kids love yogurt and especially go-gurts. In the Summer months they love to freeze them, but in the fall and winter when it is colder they hate holding the frozen go-gurts.

I decided to turn their summer snack into a fun winter treat – Frozen Greek yogurt bites. They make the perfect healthy snack and and easy sweet treat. I think the little bites are perfect for an Easy Kid Friendly Appetizers and make it so easy fun and easy to snack. You may also love this Fruit and Yogurt Parfait.

These Yogurt Bites are the perfect frozen treat. We love that it is bite size, so you can grab a handful for a delicious and healthy snack. This treat is easy to make and only require 1 ingredient.

Variations Ideas

  • Yogurt – Feel free to use different types of yogurt. You can use dairy-free yogurt or gluten-free yogurt.
  • Additions – Before freezing the yogurt bites, top with sea salt, sprinkles, granola, or fresh berries. You can even add mini chocolate chips or nuts.

How to Make Yogurt Bites

  • Step 1 – First you cut a tiny corner off. Don’t use the pre-made tear off that they provide for you because you want a smaller opening. That way you can squeeze the amount you want out.
  • Step 2 – Lay a piece of wax paper on a cookie sheet or use silicone baking sheet. Then start squeezing out the yogurt on to wax paper.
  • Step 3 – One you are done you place them in the freezer. Let them get solid for about 4 hours.
  • Step 4 – Pop them off and place them in a freezer bag. Now you have a snack perfect for when they come home from school or when they are having fun playing fall football in the backyard.

Expert Tips

  • Making Bites – You decide how big or how small you want them to be. I wanted them small so they can pop them in their mouths. It is actually a lot of fun to make these. The kids might even want to help.
  • Prepare Baking Sheet – To easily remove the yogurt bites from the baking sheet, make sure to line with parchment paper. This helps with clean up too.
  • Using Yogurt Tubes – If using the yogurt tubes, you just need to cut off a small amount on the corner so you can control the amount you drop on the baking sheet.
