Chaffle recipe
I’m so excited to share with you this super easy recipe. It’s a game changer if you are eating low carb or keto. However, it is so delicious that the entire family will want one.
What is a chaffle?
It is a waffle made out of cheese and eggs. You can enjoy this while following a keto diet without any guilt and it is very easy to make.
In just minutes, you can make a waffle. Plus, we have so many great ideas to use this for. Keep reading to find all the delicious possibilities for chaffle recipe.
Easy Chaffle ingredients:
- Egg
- Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
- a pinch of salt
How to make a chaffle:
First, preheat the mini waffle maker.
Next, whisk the egg, cheese and salt together in a small mixing bowl. Spray a mini waffle maker with a non-stick cooking spray.
Pour half of the batter into the mini waffle maker and cook until slightly brown.
Remove the chaffle and repeat the process with the remaining batter.
Serve warm and enjoy.
You will need a waffle maker.
We used a mini waffle maker but you can also use a regular waffle maker as well. You will likely need the entire batter but just fill the waffle maker approximately ½ way full and cook for 2-3 minutes until slightly brown.
If you don’t have one, we purchased ours online here for a good price. The dash mini waffle maker is a good one.
Variation ideas:
We used mozzarella cheese but you can use different types of cheese. Some other tasty ideas include: colby jack, pepperjack, muenster, Parmesan and cheddar.
I really like to mix several different types of cheese to make a chaffle. Yum!
If you prefer a different consistency, you can add almond flour or coconut flour to your chaffle. This will still be keto low carb.
What else can you add to make different types of chaffles?
One of my favorite combinations is parmesan cheese and garlic powder. I love to eat a Garlic Parmeson Chaffle instead of garlic bread.
It tastes amazing and I get all the flavors that I love without the carbs. You can make a regular size waffle or a mini when making this parm cheese waffle.
Love pumpkin? Add pumpkin puree and pumpkin spice to the chaffle mixture. Yum! Try adding cream cheese for another idea!
Chaffles do not have to be savory and can also be sweet. Try making a chocolate Chaffle by adding unsweetened cocoa powder. You can use monk fruit as sweetener if you are following keto and want to make sweet chaffles.
Oh and we also have the best 90 second bread recipe too! Lots of keto friendly options to try!
Toppings:
Oh the possibilities are endless. I love to make a pizza chaffle with all of my favorite pizza toppings.
Start out with your favorite type of chaffle. (I like to use Garlic Parm Chaffle for pizza.) Add your favorite pizza toppings- sauce, cheese, pepperoni and anything you love.
I think a traditional chaffle is amazing with butter. It is one of my favorite breakfast on the go options.
You can use butter and sugar free syrup for another option. So good!
You pretty much can enjoy a chaffle anyway you want! Yet anothe reason to go make this recipe now. ๐
How to use Chaffles:
- Eat as is! This makes an amazing snack.
- Use as replacement bread for hamburger buns, sandwiches (such as BLT, tuna etc), garlic bread, grilled cheese and more.
- Enjoy as you would a waffle and top with butter and syrup. Just make sure it is sugar free if you are doing keto.
- Try making the chaffle a little thinner and use it for a wrap.
- Stuff with your favorite taco meat and toppings and use it for a taco shell.
As you can see, this recipe is so versatile and easy to make work for many different options. Plus, it is really yummy and just fun to eat.

Still trying to understand this Keto diet?
First of all, I know it can seem overwhelming initially. However, once you understand the Keto lifestyle it is very simple.
There is a great book for beginners here that you might want to pick up. It is a really great resource to help get you started on this Keto journey.
I even spotted the Keto Crock Pot Cookbook.
Itโs a lot to take in but basically the ketogenic diet is a diet high in fat with healthy fats for weight loss. The diet calls for a lot of nut butters, peanut butter and low or no net carb snacks called fat bombs.
You will also want to keep things sugar free. Oils like coconut oil, olive oil and mct oil are used.
A lot of recipes call for cheese or cream cheese. Almond flour or pork rinds can be used for a coating or batter that fits into the ketogenic diet.
Once you get used to this diet, many report that it becomes a lifestyle and they really like it. As a result, many people report higher levels of energy and that they just feel better and have more regulated blood sugar.
Plus, weight loss is fairly easy while also filling full and satisfied. This is a key component as to why it works for so many.
If you want to lose weight, this is a great plan to try. With so many low carb recipes, it will be easy to stay on track with the ketogenic diet
