Delicious! Cut up a sirloin roast, browned the chunks in a skillet, put in crockpot. Put onion and dice mushrooms in the pan with a little garlic and red wine to deglaze and added a pkg of beefy onion soup mix, can of cream of mushroom soup, can of hot water. Mixed and cooked a couple min. Poured it on meat. Cooked on low 6hrs. Served with mashed potatoes.
Can you brown the meat before placing in a crockpot? I’ve seen some recipes do that first but wasn’t exactly sure why.

I made this with a “price dropped” chuck roast. I added the rest of a bottle of red wine that had been hovering around. It turned out amazing. This recipe was easy at it’s best.
