Oatmeal is one of my favorite breakfast recipes. The slow cooker cooks the oatmeal with the best texture and amazing flavor. It is creamy, delicious and even better with chopped nuts and chocolate chips.

How to Make Crock Pot Oatmeal

  • Step 1 – Spray the inside of the crock pot with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  • Step 2 – Add the old-fashioned rolled oats, water, milk, maple syrup, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt to the crock pot. Stir to combine.

  • Step 3 – Cover the crock pot and cook on low for 6-8 hours, or overnight, until the oats are tender and the desired consistency is reached.
  • Step 4 – Once done, give the oatmeal a good stir to incorporate any liquid that may be on top.
  • Step 5 – Serve the oatmeal hot, with your choice of optional toppings such as fresh berries, sliced bananas, chopped nuts, or additional maple syrup.
