A good Crock Pot is a must!

If you are in the market for a new crockpot, I love this casserole crock pot.  It is perfect for casserole style slow cooker recipes. It is the perfect for this slow cooker pizza casserole recipe.

Another favorite crock pot is the Instant Pot Aura. This allows you to cook the meat right in the crockpot. You can brown the ground beef on the sautรฉ setting, then add in all the other ingredients and finish the recipe on the crock pot setting.

Ingredients needed for pizza casserole - beef, salt and pepper, mozzarella cheese, crushed tomatoes, italian seasoning, garlic salt parmesan cheese

Ingredients for Crockpot Pizza Casserole:

  • Ground Beef
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Mozzarella Cheese
  • Crushed Tomatoes
  • Italian Seasoning
  • Garlic Salt
  • Parmesan cheese
  • Favorite pizza toppings

How to make Keto Pizza Casserole:

  • Brown the beef with the salt and pepper in a skillet over medium/high heat. Drain the grease.
  • I used all ground beef but you can easily use ground sausage or half beef and half sausage if you prefer. If you are cooking Italian sausage as well – make sure to drain the grease thoroughly. You don’t want to pour the grease in the crock pot.

Tip for Low Carb Chicken Pizza Crock Pot Recipe:

  • Sautรฉ the onion and green pepper – While cooking the ground beef, I like to add in the green peppers and onions first. This allows them to cook first and my kids don’t notice that they are in there.
  • Cook Meat First – If your crock doesn’t have the function to brown the meat, be sure to brown and drain before adding to the crock pot.
  • Split the Pizza Toppings – If everyone doesn’t like pepperoni or someone wants a specific topping, you can always place the ingredient on one side of the crockpot so everyone gets what the want.
  • Cook in a casserole dish – If you prefer, you can make this low carb pizza in a casserole dish and put in your oven.
  • Use Marinara Sauces – You can also use marinara sauce. Make sure to check the ingredients and nutritional information as some may be loaded with sugar and carbs.

Variation Ideas:

This low carb pizza is very customizable. We love recipes that you can change depending on what you like or don’t like in a recipe. Here are some of our favorites:

  • Top with your favorite cheese – We normally do shredded cheese but I had some provolone slices leftover and I used the slices to top this pizza casserole.
  • Double up the meat – You can double the Sausage or the Pepperoni to get in the extra protein.
  • Extra Vegetables – I love my pizza topped with as much vegetables as I can get. I love to double the mushrooms and black olives.
  • Extra Spice – Toss in some jalapeno’s or crush peppers. We love a little extra kick in our pizza.
  • Mix in Cream Cheese – Add in some diced cream cheese to make it very creamy. Cream cheese is a great fat source when following a keto diet.

What to serve with Keto Pizza?

This Keto Pizza is great by it self. It really is a complete meal but I still feel like I need to serve a side with it.

  • A green salad is the perfect side to this Keto Pizza.
  • A side of roasted broccoli.
  • 90 Second Bread Recipe – If you are missing bread on the Keto diet, make this this bread for a great side to this this pizza.

The nutritional information is for 1 serving of the recipe. I don’t know the exact measurement on the serving as each batch varies. It’s approximately 1/6 of the entire recipe or 1/3 pound of the beef with some of the delicious toppings!
