  • Cream Cheese
  • Garlic Powder 
  • Onion Powder 
  • Salt 
  • Shredded Cheddar Cheese 
  • Red Bell Pepper (diced) 
  • Cheddar Cheese (for the star)

Variations

  • Outer Coating. Swap the parsley for finely chopped green onions or chives.
  • Nuts. You can also use pistachios, pecans or almonds.

Step by Step Instructions:

Step 1. Combine the cream cheese and seasonings with a mixer until combined and smooth.

Step 2. Add the shredded cheese to the bowl. Then cover and refrigerate for a few hours.

Step 3. Remove the cheese mixture from the refrigerator and wrap in plastic wrap. Use your hands to form the ball into a Christmas tree shape.

Step 4. Remove the plastic wrap and press the chopped parsley around the outside of the cheese.

Step 5. Press the pine nuts and diced red bell pepper into the sides of the cheese ball for decorations.

Step 6. Cut the cheddar cheese in the shape of a star and place on top of the cheese ball. Serve with crackers and enjoy.

  • Crackers. Serve an assortment of your favorite crackers with the cheese ball. Some ideas include Wheat Thins, Ritz Crackers, Triscuits, Multigrain and party crackers.
  • Veggies. Slices of red and green bell peppers, carrots and celery pair perfectly with this delicious cheeseball.

Instructions

  • Mix together the cream cheese, garlic powder, onion powder and salt with a hand held mixer until combined and smooth.
  • Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese.
  • Cover and refrigerate for a few hours until the cheese is form enough to shape.
  • Remove the cheese mixture from the refrigerator and wrap in plastic wrap. Use your hands to form the mixture into a cone shape to look like a Christmas tree.
  • Remove the plastic wrap and press the chopped parsley around the outside of the cheese.
  • Press the pine nuts and diced red bell pepper into the sides of the cheese ball for decorations.
  • Cut the cheddar cheese in the shape of a star and place on top of the cheese ball.
  • Serve with your favorite dippers and enjoy!
