How to make chocolate chip frozen yogurt:

First, beat the butter and both types of sugar together until it is light and fluffy. I love to use my stand mixer for this part. You don’t have to but it makes it even quicker and easier.

A mixing bowl with chocolate chips placed on top of a flour mixture, reminiscent of starting a delicious chocolate chip cookie dough recipe. A metal whisk rests in the bowl, ready to blend the flavors. Wooden surface underneath adds warmth to this cozy scene.

Second, add the vanilla and beat until combined.

Next, you will need a smaller mixing bowl. Whisk together the flour, baking soda and salt. Once this is combined, add the chocolate chips.

Finally, add the flour and chocolate chip mixture to the butter mixture. Fold this together very carefully and then add the yogurt and stir again.

A close-up reveals a spoon scooping creamy chocolate chip cookie dough from a bowl, perfect for creating your own frozen yogurt delight. Visible chips invite indulgence, with "Eating on a Dime" elegantly displayed in the bottom right corner.

Now that everything is well combined, cover the mixture with a lid. Put in the freezer until is is set. I usually leave it overnight and it is all ready to go the next morning.

My entire family loves this and the texture is so creamy and smooth. It is a great alternative to ice cream and everyone still feels like they are getting a great treat to enjoy.

I haven’t met anyone that didn’t love cookie dough. I’m pretty sure this will be your new favorite treat.

I’m not sure – I have only made this with yogurt or greek yogurt. I think vanilla ice cream would work great but I haven’t tried it yet. If you try something else, let us know how it turns out!
