Variations Ideas

  • Sherbet – Feel free to change the flavor of the sherbet. A fun twist would rainbow sherbet punch, strawberry sherbet punch, or use orange sherbet for an orange sherbet punch.
  • Lemon Lime Soda – You can easily use other types and brands of soda. You can use sprite, ginger ale, Hawaiian Punch, Fruit Punch, or Sierra mist.
  • Alcohol – If you are serving this at an adult party, mix in vodka, rum or champagne for a special occasions cocktails.

How to Make Cherry Limeade Sherbet Punch

  • Step 1 – First, you will need to find a punch bowl or really, any large bowl will do. I love this punch bowl. It is a cake stand and punch bowl in one. You can flip it over and turn it into a punch bowl so you get more for your buck.
  • Step 2 – After you have you large punch bowl ready, simply spoon the lime sherbet into the punch bowl with an ice cream scoop.

  • Step 3 – Next, pour the Cherry 7-up over the sherbet scoops and stir it all together. If you do not have Cherry 7-up you can use any lemon lime soda.

  • Step 4 – If you want a little extra cherry flavor, especially if you’re using a basic lemon lime soda instead of Cherry 7-Up. Add a splash of the cherry juice in with the soda and sherbet mixture and combine.
  • Step 5 – Lastly, pour this mixture into punch cups. I usually use a ladle or a large spoon so that I don’t make a huge mess. If you don’t have either one of those, you could also use an extra cup.
  • Step 6 – Top each glass with a slice lime and a cherry! The limes and the cherries are optional but I think it adds a ton of this recipe so I definitely recommend including those when serving.  It is as easy as that!

Recipe Tips

  • Sherbet – We recommend sitting the sherbet out at room temperature for 20-30 minutes to soften some. It mixes easier to scoop into the punch bowl this way.
