  • Step 3 – Season the tender rice lightly with garlic salt and pepper.
  • Step 4 – Microwave for 5 minutes with the lid on.

How to Rice Cauliflower

You will just need a head of cauliflower. You can use food processor like this, or you can even use an inexpensive food chopper. You can also use cheese grater or a box grater to make rice.

In a matter of minutes your fresh cauliflower is chopped up into a “rice”. It does not take long at all to do this if you want to make your own cauliflower rice.

Serving Suggestions

Cauliflower rice is a great addition in our soups such as Crockpot Taco Rice Soup or Crockpot Stuffed pepper soup instead of regular rice and our kids didn’t even question us. I loved it because I was adding a vegetable into our meal where we normally wouldn’t have it.

    I make cauliflower rice, freeze in portions for my family. Then heat in butter in frying pan along with chopped onion, peppers, garlic and herbs ,whatever you like. Eat with a bit of soy sauce. Just another way to cook it.

    Yes, you can. Just add some water, and steam it slightly in the a pan with a lid. It should still only take a few minutes. Come back and let me know how you like it.
