This simple Guacamole Recipe can easily be made with 4 ingredients. The creamy texture is always a favorite family dip. It is always best to start with ripe avocados to properly mash the avocados.

We use fresh salsa, lime juice or lemon juice to mix in with the mashed avocados. Add in the seasoning and mix to combine all the ingredients. Serve with tortilla chips for a delicious dip.

There are different ways to cut an avocado. It really depends on how you are going to serve the avocado. You can either remove the avocado from the skin and slice it or dice it up while in the skin.

How to Freeze Guacamole:

Freezing guacamole is a great way to enjoy your favorite dip without throwing it out. These methods will help but first you want to divide the guacamole in individual servings.

I like doing so that if I want to enjoy a little snack, I can take out a small portion.

Method 1 – Freeze in Freezer Bags:

The first method is placing the guacamole in freezer safe bags. This is my favorite way as it doesn’t take up much space in the freezer. Make sure while sealing the bag that you remove all air bubbles.

You can stack the freezer bags on top of each other if they are flatten.

Method 2 – Freeze in Mason Jars:

Using mason jars to freeze guacamole is a great option if you do not want to use plastic. Simply fill the jar with guacamole while making sure to give room for the guacamole to expand as it freezes.

Top the guacamole with a little olive oil to prevent browning on the top.

Method 3 – Freeze in Plastic Containers:

You can also place guacamole in plastic containers. I like to get smaller containers so that I can just take out what I need. I like to wrap a small portion in plastic wrap and wrap tightly to keep air out. This will also help to reduce browning.

  • Top with Olive Oil – Put olive oil on top to prevent the top from turning browning.
  • Freeze Avocado – If you prefer, you can freeze avocados whole. They will last up to 3 months.

How to Thaw Guacamole:

Depending on how your froze your guacamole, it may take up to 1 to 2 days to thaw the guacamole. If your stored your guacamole in a freezer safe bags, simple place on the counter to thaw to room temperature.

In about 1 to 2 hours your will have fresh taste avocado flavor guacamole to enjoy with your favorite tortilla chips.
