Step by Step Instructions

  • Step 1 – Heat up the grill. Preheat the Blackstone grill over medium high heat (approximately 350 degrees F). This is the perfect temperature for a great pizza.
  • Step 2 – Warm the pepperoni. Sauté the pepperonis for 30 seconds on each side to heat up the pepperoni. This extra step only takes a few seconds and takes the pizza up a level.

Expert Tips

  • Pizza Sauce. You can use store bought or make homemade pizza sauce. Feel free to use what you prefer.
  • You can use a pizza peel. This makes it easy to slide the pizza right on to the griddle. If you do not have one, try using a cutting board.
  • Temperature Gun. The pizza is best cooked at 350 degrees. I prefer to use a temperature gun to make sure it is ready for the pizza.
  • Personal Pizzas. Feel free to use smaller individual personal size pizza crusts. Everyone can make their own pizza and customize with toppings.
  • Cheese. We used shredded mozzarella but you can use any type of cheese you prefer. Colby Jack is delicious for a blend of cheeses. I also like sliced fresh mozzarella.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I Cook a Frozen Pizza on a Blackstone?

Yes, you absolutely can. It is best to allow the pizza thaw first. Cooking a frozen pizza directly on the griddle can result in the center being uncooked.
I recommend thawing first and placing on preheated griddle at 400 degrees. You can place the pizza on a pizza stone. It should only take about 5 to 6 minutes. Check the crust every couple of minutes to ensure it does not burn. It cooks pretty quickly so you do not want to overcook it.

How to Store

Refrigerate any leftover pizzas in an air tight container for up to 5 days. This is delicious for lunch the next day and still tastes delicious.
