Why We Love Big Mac Pizza

My kids could eat pizza every night, so I like to change things up. This Big Mac Pizza has become a favorite main dish recipe because of the layers of sauce, ground beef, cheese and lettuce.

It combines all my favorite burger toppings all on a pizza crust.

Step 7 – Bake the pizza for 15-20 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly. Top with Shredded Iceberg Lettuce and sesame seeds. Serve warm and enjoy!

Expert Tips

  • Ground Beef – You could also use lean ground beef to reduce the amount of excess fat and ensure a crispier pizza crust.
  • Special Sauce – If you prefer a less sweet sauce, mix the Thousand Island dressing with a bit of tomato sauce or paste to balance the flavors.
  • Pizza Stone – For a crispier crust, we recommend placing your pizza stone in the oven while it is preheating. Then carefully remove the pizza stone and add pizza and bake. This gives the pizza the taste of a pizza oven.

How to Know When Pizza is Done Cooking

Baking time will vary depending on your oven. We baked pizza for about 15 minutes and the pizza was golden brown and cheese was melted.

We always make sure to center of the pizza is hot and cheese is melted before removing from the oven.

Serving Suggestions

Cheeseburger Pizza is a complete meal idea. But we do like to add light side dishes and these are some of our favorites.

I even like to have bowls of our favorite burger toppings so every can add their favorites to their slice. These options include dill pickle, relish, mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard and American cheese slices.

Frequently Asked Questions

How to Store Leftover Big Mac Pizza

We like to slice the leftover pizza to easily store in an airtight container. The leftovers will last about 3-4 days. We think it is best to remove the lettuce and pickles before storing.

How to Reheat Leftover Big Mac Pizza

Reheat the leftovers in the oven without the lettuce and pickles. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and reheat for about 10 minutes. You can even reheat in the air fryer.
