I just love to make homemade salad dressing. Once you start, you will see how easy it is to do this. The savings add up and it tastes much better than store bought.

One of our favorites is this Balsamic dressing recipe. I love balsamic vinegar so this is one of my all time favorite dressings.

My favorite way to enjoy this dressing is drizzled over Strawberry Spinach Salad Recipe or Panera Strawberry Poppyseed Salad. It’s also good on chicken, steak and even grilled veggies. You can’t go wrong!

Ingredients

Ingredients - balsamic vinegar, olive oil, honey, dijon mustard, garlic powder, sea salt, pepper
  • Balsamic Vinegar – We recommend good quality balsamic vinegar
  • Olive Oil – We prefer to use Extra Virgin Olive Oil because of the flavor
  • Honey – Feel free to substitute pure maple syrup for the same flavors
  • Dijon Mustard – We prefer to use a mustard seed

How to Make Balsamic Vinaigrette Dressing

  • Step 1 – Combine all of the ingredients in a small bowl.  Whisk thoroughly for 2-3 minutes until all the ingredients are well combined. You can also put all the ingredients in a glass container with a lid and shake thoroughly until all the ingredients are well combined.

  • Combining Ingredients – Make sure you mix it really well. In fact, I whisked it quite a bit. Olive oil and vinegar can thicken as it stored in the fridge. You will need to shake or mix when ready to use.
  • Balsamic Vinegar – Make sure to use a high quality aged balsamic vinegar. A good quality balsamic makes a big difference.
