Instant Pot Balsamic Pork Tenderloin Recipe:

We love having pork at our house. Pork Tenderloin is one of our favorites and we have it about 2-3 times a month. Sometimes we have a hard time making it because it comes out dry. We make sure not to overcook it to prevent this.

But then we started making it in the Instant Pot. The pork comes out so tender and full of flavor that it is the only way we cook it now.

The balsamic glaze really makes this tenderloin so don’t even think about skipping it! The tangy vinegar, sweet brown sugar and splash of soy sauce come together for a glaze that is simply out of this world!

Perfect Weeknight Dinner!

We love using our Pressure Cooker. Using this cooking method has been a game changer for our family to get dinner on the table quickly. This recipe is perfect for the instant pot. Pressure Cooking cooks quickly and the meat comes out perfectly.

If you need an instant pot, Amazon has several on sale here. I absolutely love mine. I have the larger one and itโ€™s perfect.

If you only have a slow cooker, you can make Crock Pot Balsamic Pork Tenderloin and it still taste amazing. You will come home and your house will smell amazing.

Can I use a Pork Loin instead?

Yes you can. We have used a pork loin before and it turned perfectly. It is bigger in size and has more fat. But you can cook it the same way.

You can also put a pork loin in the oven or in the slow cooker. Using any of these cookers gives you the same great flavor.

Ingredients:

  • Pork tenderloin
  • Brown sugar
  • Balsamic vinegar
  • Soy sauce
  • Water – You can also use chicken broth.
  • Corn starch
  • Salt and Pepper

How to make Instant Pot Pork Tenderloin:

  • Place pork tenderloin in the instant pot.
  • Whisk together the soy sauce, brown sugar, balsamic vinegar, water, cornstarch and salt and pepper in a small mixing bowl. *You can also add in a little garlic powder if you prefer.
  • Pour this mixture over the top of the pork tenderloin in the instant pot.

  • Add the lid and set to sealing.
  • Press the manual button and set the pressure to 12 minutes (based on the size of your pork tenderloin).
  • Once the cooking cycle is done, let the pressure release naturally for 10 minutes before quick releasing the steam.
  • Remove the the pork tenderloin from the instant pot. Let it rest for about 10 minutes. Then you can slice and serve.
  • Brush or drizzle the pork tenderloin with the sauce from the instant pot and serve immediately.

How long to cook Pork Tenderloin in the Instant Pot:

Cooking times will vary based on the size of pork tenderloin that you are cooking. But I usually set the timer to around 12 minutes and then do natural release for 10 minutes.

You want to make sure that the internal cooking temperature reaches to about 145 degrees on the thickest part. Then I would allow to rest for about 5 minutes before slicing so that it holds the juices in.

How do you make Balsamic Pork Tenderloin in the oven:

Until we started using the instant pot on a regular basis, I would always cook my tenderloin in the oven. I would prepare my glaze indicated.

Then I would preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Then place in the oven that is covered in foil for about 18-20 minutes.

Then make sure that the pork tenderloin reaches an internal temperature of 145 degrees before slicing.

Is your Pork Tenderloin frozen?

The pork I used in this recipe was defrost.

If you pork tenderloin is frozen, no worries. That is one of the main things I love about the instant pot is that you can place your frozen meat in the instant pot and cook.

You will need to increase your time to about 10 minutes per pound if you are using a frozen pork tenderloin.

What do you serve with Pork Tenderloin?

Pork Tenderloin can be served with steamed broccoli or mashed potatoes. Carrots, Cauliflower or a nice big salad would pair nicely with this Balsamic Pork Tenderloin. Macaroni and cheese or garlic mashed potatoes are some of my favorites.

I always make sure we have a slice of garlic bread or a dinner roll.

Recipes Tips:

  • Make sure you let the pork tenderloin rest after cooking for about 10-15 minutes. This will make it extra juicy and flavorful.
  • Have a meat thermometer to ensure your pork tenderloin is done. I like to use this anytime I cook meat.
  • The balsamic glaze can be used on different cuts of pork such as roast and loin. You can also use it for other meats like chicken or steak.
  • Some people use olive oil to brown the pork prior to putting in the instant pot. But I have done both ways, and I usually just put it in the instant pot without browning it to save time.

How to store leftovers:

Storing your leftovers is very easy to do. You can store in the refrigerate up to 4 days. Be sure to put in airtight container.

How to Freeze Pork Tenderloin

You can also freeze your leftover pork tenderloin. Be sure that it has cooled completely and then place in a freezer safe container for up to 3 months.

Once you are ready to heat up, thaw the meat and heat in the oven.

We also like to make individual lunches for us. We love this Balsamic Pork Tenderloin leftover. The balsamic glaze marinates in the meat overnight which enhances the flavor.

  10. Carrie says:

Hi Kimberly, the sauce was made from the ingredients that are now being added to the Instant pot. Just don’t add them in the instant pot and heat them in a sauce pan to create the sauce and just add the water only with the tenderloin in the instant pot.

I’m not usually a fan of pork loin…but because I’ve loved every meal that I’ve made in my instant pot, I decided to give your recipe a whirl. We had it tonight…….and it was wonderful!
