Appetizers are one of my favorite things to make especially for the holidays or when we have friends over. This Baked Brie with Jam is so impressive and everyone loves it.

Why We Love This Recipe

As a busy mom of 8, we are always having family over to celebrate birthdays, holiday or cheer on our favorite team. It bakes easily and delicious served warm with crackers, vegetables and bread.

You can easily bake on baking sheet, in a cast iron skillet or a baking dish.

Ingredients 

Wheel of Brie, jelly, pecans, honey, crackers
  • Wheel of Brie – Use any brand or type of round brie of your choice.
  • Jelly – Any flavor of jelly or jam works great in this recipe. Pepper Jelly, apricot jam, or blackberry jam are great options.
  • Chopped Pecans – You can also use sliced almonds, walnuts, pistachios or pumpkin seeds instead of pecans if you prefer.

How to Make Baked Brie with Jam

  • Step 1 – Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

Step 2 – Place the brie on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Step 3 – Use a sharp knife to make a criss cross pattern onto the top of the brie approximately ½ inch deep into the brie.

Step 4 – Top the wedge of brie with the jelly.

Step 5 – Toss the pecans and honey in a small bowl until the pecans are coated with the honey.

Step 6 – Place the pecans on top of the jelly.

Step 7 – Bake for 15-20 minutes until the cheese is soft.  The cheese should feel very soft in the center to the touch.  

  • Step 8 – Move the cheese to a serving platter.  Then serve with your favorite type of crackers and enjoy! 

Expert Tips

  • Type of Brie – You can use any type of brie cheese even the budget friendly ones that you can get at your local grocery taste delicious.
  • Baking Brie – Make sure to not overbake brie as it can turn hard quickly of baked to long. Once you see a little melty cheese, you will know that the brie is ready to serve.
  • Rest Brie – Allow the brie to rest for about 5 minutes. This allows the cheese to cool for just a bit to allow you to easily dip into it.
