How to make Christmas tree charcuterie board:

Step 1. Prepare the cheese into stars. Use a star shaped cookie cutter to cut stars out of the sliced provolone cheese or use a knife to carefully cut starts out of the slices of cheese.

Step 2. Make the base of the tree. Get a large serving board. Place the pretzel sticks at the bottom of the board to look like a tree trunk. Then prep the salami and large pepperoni by folding them in half and then folding them in half again.

Step 3. Form the rows on the tree. Start the tree with a row of the diced cheese (we started with the cheddar cheese). The continue up the tree layering blackberries, pepperoni, and another flavor of tree, making sure every layer is lightly less wider as you go up.

Step 4. Finish the Layers. Continue up the tree layering the final four ingredients, green olives, salami, a third cheese, and strawberries.

Step 5. Garnish with the cheese stars. We put one on top of the tree to look like a tree topper.

Cover the board in plastic wrap and refrigerate up to 4 days. I recommend removing the pretzels and any crackers before storing.
This will prevent them from getting soggy. Just place them inside a ziplock bag and arrange when ready to enjoy.

If you are preparing this for an event or party, you can easily assemble a portion of this in advance to save time. Once the party is here, simply add the crackers or pretzels to the board.

This will prevent the dry ingredients from getting soggy from the juices of the fruit and vegetable assortment.

How Long Can A Charcuterie Board Be Safely Left Out Of The Fridge?

It can be left out of the fridge about 2 hours in a normal environment. It should be refrigerated in less time if it is warm.

I would recommend placing the board into the fridge after 1 ½ hours if you live in a warm climate or your house is warmer than most.
