Expert Tips

  • Large Skillet – We used a stainless steel large skillet for this recipe and it worked great. You can also use a cast iron skillet and it’s perfect for this recipe. I have the Lodge cast iron skillet but you can see all the different brands here.
  • Pasta – This one pot meal cooks the pasta in the broth and seasoning. Cook the pasta according to the package and al dente.
  • Combining Ingredients – As you are cooking the mixture in the skillet, we recommend stirring until everything cooks and is combined.
  • Cutting Sausage – We recommend cutting the sausage about the same size pieces so that it cooks evenly.

Made this for the fam and for a neighbor who recently just had a love one who passed away. And gotta say this was so easy to make and so good. This recipe is definitely going into the cookbook. Oh did I mention easy clean up, since it was one pan. And it really did cost less than $10.

  9. Carrie says:

Yes, it’s 1 cup of milk and the milk and crushed tomatoes are added with the pasta to the skillet. I have clarified this in the recipe as well. Thank you!

  10. Jayme says:

Ingredients include a can of tomatoes and make no mention of milk.

The instructions say to add milk and make no mention of tomatoes.

    Can you clarify this?
