Mojo flavor typically refers to Cuban cooking that has a sauce with garlic and citrus. It is delicious on chicken but can also be used on pork and other types of meat.

How to Make Mojo Chicken Breast Recipe

  • Step 1 – Place all the ingredients in the crock pot. It is that simple!

  • Step 3 – Remove the chicken, shred and mix it back into the sauce in the crock pot.

  • Chicken – You can cook this recipe with frozen chicken or fresh chicken. You may need to adjust cooking time if frozen.
  • Shredding Chicken – You can easily shred the chicken with two forks. But we like shredding chicken with a mixer.

This meal is delicious served over white rice.  We actually cook rice in the slow cooker. This is so handy and I like to cook a ton of rice in my crock pot and then freeze it for recipes like this one.

Freezing rice is so easy and saves me tons of time in the kitchen. If you aren’t freezing rice, you should be! It is a huge time saver.

Pair this dish with a green veggie and you are ready to go!  We love these delicious roasted green beans with this chicken.  They only take a minute to prepare and they are so yummy.

    I marinate for 8 hours then roast for approx 45-60 mins at 450° basting toward the end. I tripled the garlic and roughly chopped it so it wouldn’t burn. The sauce is delicious.

    Looks good. For baking in the oven—how long and what temp? Do I marinade the chicken first with the sauce or do I boil the sauce and pour over the chicken?
