When you are following a low carb diet, you don’t have to give up your favorite foods. You can easily modify them. This recipe is a great start to do that while following a low carb diet. It really is a delicious meal.
How to make crust less pizza in the crock pot?
I hate to even admit this, but we probably have pizza at least twice a week. My kids can eat pizza for every meal. Which isn’t easy when I am trying to stick with a low carb diet.
When I made this recipe with simply omitting the crust everyone loved it. Now everyone loves when this is on the menu and even my kids go crazy over this recipe. They love when I make this Crock Pot Keto Pizza Casserole.

If you are in the market for a new crockpot, I love this casserole crock pot. It is perfect for casserole style slow cooker recipes. It is the perfect for this slow cooker pizza casserole recipe.
Another favorite crock pot is the Instant Pot Aura. This allows you to cook the meat right in the crockpot. You can brown the ground beef on the sautรฉ setting, then add in all the other ingredients and finish the recipe on the crock pot setting.
Ingredients for Crockpot Pizza Casserole:
- Ground Beef
- Salt
- Pepper
- Mozzarella Cheese
- Crushed Tomatoes
- Italian Seasoning
- Garlic Salt
- Parmesan cheese
- Favorite pizza toppings
How to make Keto Pizza Casserole:
- Brown the beef with the salt and pepper in a skillet over medium/high heat. Drain the grease.
- I used all ground beef but you can easily use ground sausage or half beef and half sausage if you prefer. If you are cooking Italian sausage as well – make sure to drain the grease thoroughly. You don’t want to pour the grease in the crock pot.
- Spray your crock pot with non stick olive oil spray.
- Mix together 2 cups mozzarella and the ground beef. Spread evenly in the bottom of the crock pot.
- In a small bowl mix together the crushed tomatoes, Italian seasoning, and garlic salt.
- Pour the pizza sauce over the beef mixture and spread evenly.
- Put the remaining cheese on top.
- Add any pizza toppings you want and finish with sprinkling the Parmesan cheese evenly over the top.
- Cover and cook on low for 4 hours. Cooking times can vary based on the crock pot used.
Tip for Low Carb Chicken Pizza Crock Pot Recipe:
- Sautรฉ the onion and green pepper – While cooking the ground beef, I like to add in the green peppers and onions first. This allows them to cook first and my kids don’t notice that they are in there.
- Cook Meat First – If your crock doesn’t have the function to brown the meat, be sure to brown and drain before adding to the crock pot.
- Split the Pizza Toppings – If everyone doesn’t like pepperoni or someone wants a specific topping, you can always place the ingredient on one side of the crockpot so everyone gets what the want.
- Cook in a casserole dish – If you prefer, you can make this low carb pizza in a casserole dish and put in your oven.
- Use Marinara Sauces – You can also use marinara sauce. Make sure to check the ingredients and nutritional information as some may be loaded with sugar and carbs.

- Top with your favorite cheese – We normally do shredded cheese but I had some provolone slices leftover and I used the slices to top this pizza casserole.
- Double up the meat – You can double the Sausage or the Pepperoni to get in the extra protein.
- Extra Vegetables – I love my pizza topped with as much vegetables as I can get. I love to double the mushrooms and black olives.
- Extra Spice – Toss in some jalapeno’s or crush peppers. We love a little extra kick in our pizza.
- Mix in Cream Cheese – Add in some diced cream cheese to make it very creamy. Cream cheese is a great fat source when following a keto diet.

This Keto Pizza is great by it self. It really is a complete meal but I still feel like I need to serve a side with it.
