Step by Step Instructions
- Step 1 – Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and spray a 9X5 loaf pan with non-stick cooking spray.
Step 2 – Peel the bananas and mash the bananas in a large mixing bowl.
Step 3 – Stir in the applesauce, sour cream, eggs and vanilla extract until everything is combined.
Step 4 – Add in the granulated sugar and brown sugar. Stir until combined.
Step 5 – Add flour, baking soda and salt. Stir until just combined with a spatula or wooden spoon. Be careful not to over mix the batter.
Step 6 – Pour the batter into the loaf pan. Gently tap the pan on the countertop to release any air bubbles in the mixture.
Step 7 – Cook for 50-60 minutes until a toothpick inserted into the center of the bread and the toothpick comes out clean.

- Cooking Time – Cooking time will vary depending on your oven and if you are using a large loaf pan or mini loaf pans. I like to use a toothpick to insert in the bread to make sure it comes out with moist crumbs. If the toothpick is still show wet batter, then continue baking.
- Rest Bread – Before slicing the bread, we recommend letting the bread rest for about 15 minutes.
