French Toast is a staple weekend breakfast in my home. Being a mom of 8 kids, my kids always have their friends over. This cinnamon French Toast is everyone’s favorite because of the flavor and the many ways to top them.

This Easy Cinnamon French Toast Recipe cooks perfectly on a hot griddle. The crispy edges and soft center makes this recipe a family favorite. We love they way they taste with the added cinnamon.
This recipe is perfect for the weekends, but my favorite is to serve it on Christmas morning or for brunch.

- Texas Toast (or other thick sliced bread)
- Large Eggs
- Milk
- Granulated Sugar
- Vanilla Extract
- Cinnamon

Variations Ideas:
- Best Bread – Feel free to use any thick slices of bread loaf. We recommend using cinnamon bread, brioche, French Bread, sourdough, or challah bread. We think stale bread is the best or regular sandwich bread works great too.
- Milk – We usually use whole milk in this recipe, but feel free to use what you prefer.
- Spices – You can easily add in different spices to the cinnamon sugar mixture. We have even used brown sugar instead of granulated sugar for a delicious variation. Nutmeg is also a great addition for an additional warm flavors.
Step by Step Instructions:
Step 1 – Whisk together the eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla extract and cinnamon in a bowl.
Step 2 – Dip each slice of the bread slices into egg mixture in the shallow dish.
Step 3 – Dip each side of bread for approximately 30 seconds.
Step 4 – Then place the coated bread slices on the griddle. Then cook for 2-3 minutes per side over medium heat. Cook until golden brown on both sides. Serve and Enjoy!

- Combine Ingredients – Make sure to completely combine the egg mixture in a large bowl.
- Dipping Bread – When dipping the bread into the mixture, make sure to only leave it in there for about 30 seconds. If left in to long it could cause the bread to soggy.
- Cooking French Toast – Cook the French Toast in a large skillet or a griddle until golden brown. You want to cook both sides for about 2 to 3 minutes.
- Prepare Cooking Surface – To easily flip the French Toast, spray the skillet or griddle with cooking spray.

Refrigerate the leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
Cooked French Toast can be placed in the freezer. After it has cooled, place on a baking sheet to freeze in individual slices. Then transfer to a freezer bag or container after an hour. Freeze French Bread for up to 3 month. There is no need to thaw when ready to serve. You can cook in the skillet or the toaster oven frozen.

Ingredients
- 8 Slices Texas Toast or other thick sliced bread
- 4 Large Eggs
- 1 cup Milk
- 1 Tablespoon Granulated Sugar
- 2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract
- 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
- 2 Tablespoons Butter
Instructions
- Whisk together the eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla extract and cinnamon in a bowl.
- Preheat a griddle over medium heat to 350 degrees F (or use a large skillet). Grease the griddle or pan with the butter.
- Dip each slice of the bread slices for approximately 30 seconds per side.
- Then place the coated bread slices on the griddle and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown on both sides.
