Candy Bar Cookies is a great recipe to have the kids to help. We have made these cookies with Snickers but Musketeers would also be a great choice.

The steps are easy and if you are a baker, your probably already have all the ingredients. These cookies are perfect for the Milk Way Candy Bar lover in your family and are easy to serve for any occasion.

Ingredients

Ingredients - butter, sugar, brown sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, chocolate chips, Milky Way Candy Bars
  • Unsalted Butter – Start with room temperature, softened butter
  • Light Brown Sugar – Learn How to Make Brown Sugar with simple ingredients
  • Chocolate Chips – We used semi sweet chocolate chips but these cookies would be delicious with dark chocolate chips
  • Milky Way Candy Bars – Feel free to use other types of fun size candy bars

How to Make Milk Way Cookies 

  • Step 1 – Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.  
Mixing together butter, sugar, brown sugar and eggs in a clear bowl with a wooden spoon on the side. Small bowl of chocolate chips and flour on the side with teaspoons of dry ingredients

Step 2 – In a medium bowl, cream together the butter, sugar and brown sugar until the mixture is creamy.  Stir in the eggs and vanilla extract.

Step 3 – Whisk the flour, baking soda and salt in a different bowl.

Step 4 – Gradually add the dry ingredients into the butter mixture until well combined. Mix the batter well in a large bowl.

Step 5 – Mix in chocolate chips and chopped Milky Way Candy Bars to the cookie dough batter. Cover and refrigerate the dough for 15-20 minutes.

Step 6 – Scoop the cookie dough onto a baking sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes until the edges are slightly browned.

Step 7 – Let the cookies rest on the baking sheet for 5 minutes.  Then move to a wire rack to cool completely. Then the cookies are ready to serve and enjoy! 

Recipe Tips

  • Mixing Ingredients – Combine the cookie dough batter together with a hand mixer or a stand mixer. You can also mix by hand whichever you prefer.
  • Freezing Candy Bars – To help keep the shape of the candy bars, we like to freeze the candy bars. But this is an optional step.
  • Scoop Cookie Dough – For best results, we like to scoop the cookie dough with a ice cream scoop. It allows the dough to be even so it cooks evenly.
  • Baking Sheet – To easily remove the cookies from baking sheet, line with parchment paper.
