How to Store Leftovers:

Refrigerate the leftovers in an airtight container for up to 5 days.  The pickles will get soft when they are stored.  You can reheat them in oil for 1 minute to make them crispy again.

Make sure they are completely cool before placing in the container. This will help prevent any condensation from making them soggy inside the container.

How to Reheat:

We recommend reheating the deep fried pickles in a skillet to make it crispy again. You can also use the air fryer for a minute or two.

Can you Freeze Fried Pickles?

Yes, you can freeze fried pickles for up to 3 months. We recommend freezing them individually on a baking sheet then placing them in a freezer container.

This allows you to take out a small portion of the fried pickles and reheat. This makes the perfect recipe to make ahead of time.

Tips for Texas Roadhouse Fried Pickles:

  • Cooking Pickles – We made the fried pickles in a skillet but you can also use a deep fryer.
  • Seasoning Pickles – When seasoning and dipping the pickle slices in the flour mixture, make sure to remove excess flour.
  • Change Seasoning – We used an easy cajun seasoning, but you can use any seasoning you prefer. Other options include, Italian Seasoning or other dried seasoning.
  • Pickle Variations – Use the type of pickles you prefer. Pickle chips and spears are good options.
  • Adjust Cooking Time – Make your pickles extra crispy by cooking the pickles a few extra minutes.
  • Slotted spoon- This is helpful to use when taking the pickles out of the oil so the grease drains. Place cooked pickles on a paper towel to remove an excess grease.
