How to Make Bacon Wrapped Jalapeno Poppers

Step 1 – Cut the stems off and cut the jalapeños in half length wise. Use a spoon to remove all the seeds.

Step 2 – Spoon about a tablespoon of cream cheese mixture in the middle of each jalapeño. Set aside. Cut each bacon in half. Wrap a half of bacon around one stuffed jalapeño half. Secure with a toothpick.

Step 3 – Bake on a sheet pan in a preheated 400 degree oven for 25 minutes (you can broil the last few minutes to make them crispier if you want)

Step 4 – You can also place them on a grill for 25 minutes until bacon is cooked through for crispy bacon. (flipping regularly). Allow the batches to cool on a wire rack. This cheese filling is so delicious!

Recipe Tips

  • Jalapenos – Slice jalapenos and remove seeds. If you leave seeds on the jalapeno the poppers will increase the spiciness.
  • Toothpick – To secure the bacon around the jalapeno, we recommend using a toothpick. Try to remove them before serving as a party snacks.
  • Cooking Methods – These poppers also cooked on the grill or in the air fryer. Cooking time will vary depending on how crispy you want the poppers.
  • Serving – These poppers are delicious as they are, but you can serve with your favorite dipping sauce. We love making our Homemade Ranch Dressing.

We love these simple poppers. I found that the thinner the bacon the better….and we’ve also sprinkled a little shredded cheddar cheese when we were low on cream cheese. Re-heating (as if there are ever any leftover) is perfect in our air fryer.
