- Step 1 – Open up the cans of refrigerated cinnamon roll dough and set aside the icing for later. It’s delicious and adds an amazing flavor to this crock pot cinnamon roll casserole.
- Step 2 – Then cut each cinnamon roll into quarters. You can use a knife or a pizza cutter for this process.
- Step 3 – Spray your crock pot with your favorite non stick cooking spray. I always spray the bottom and sides of the my slow cooker so that serving this slow cooker cinnamon roll casserole is easy.
- Step 4 – After that, place one of the rolls of cinnamon rolls (already cut up) in the bottom of the crock pot.
- Step 5 – Then in a small bowl whisk (or stand mixer) together the eggs, milk, syrup, vanilla, and cinnamon. Don’t skip this step as this cream maple syrup vanilla mixture adds a great flavor and moisture to this delicious crock pot recipe.
- Step 6 – Pour the egg mixture over the cinnamon rolls in the crock pot.

Feel free to use any type of canned cinnamon rolls. I have used off brand and Pillsbury Grands and they both turned out great.
This cinnamon roll casserole stores great in the refrigerator in an airtight container. Make sure to allow cinnamon roll to cool before storing and it will last about 4 days.
If you prefer, you can place your leftovers in a freezer safe container and store in the freezer. The cinnamon rolls will stay good for about 2 months.

Yes I do think the older crockpots do cook slower.
I made the recipe as directed. Maybe my older pot doesn’t get as hot as newer ones but after 2 hrs 45 minutes on low the biscuits were soft and sitting in wet egg mixture. I had to increase to high and cook an additional 60 minutes. It was tasty when finally done but my family was no longer hungary because they ate oatmeal instead. If using an older rival crock pot I would suggest cooking on low for 5 hrs at least.
Better as an overnight project in that case.
It sounds like they just need to cook longer Nick. Each crock pot cooks a bit differently so I’m thinking yours just cooks lower.
The top of the cinnamon rolls didn’t come out cooked. They were still doughy on the top and I followed the recipe exactly. Wondering what maybe went wrong?
