- Ice Cream – We like using creamy vanilla ice cream for the classic flavor. But you can use what you prefer.
- Root Beer – We used A&W Root Beer, but you any brand you prefer

- Norpro 431 4-Piece Silicone Ice Pop Maker Set – These are great because you can toss them in the freezer easily.

How to Make Root Beer Popsicles
- Step 1 – You are going to alternate layers of ice cream and pour root beer in the mold.
- Step 2 – Be careful – it may foam over so move slowly. Clean up any overflow.
- Step 3 – Insert Sticks top of each mold and freeze overnight.
- Step 4 – Run mold briefly under hot water if needed to release popsicles easily from the mold.
Expert Tips
- Combining Ingredients – There is no need to combine the 2 ingredients separately. You simple being layering the ingredients in the popsicle mold.
- Overflow – Be careful not to overflow the popsicle molds. The root beer will foam so slowly add the root beer to keep this to a minimum.
How to Remove Popsicles from Molds
The best way to remove the popsicles from the popsicle mold is to briefly run it under hot water. It will take no more than 10 seconds and you should be able to easily remove the popsicle.
Another easy way is to stick the popsicle mold in a glass of warm water for about 20 seconds. Make sure to gently try to remove the popsicle to prevent it from breaking.
